Biodegradability does not remove the need to prevent spills or follow environmental and equipment requirements.

Confirm the required hydraulic-fluid viscosity and performance standard. Hydraulic oil, tractor transmission/hydraulic fluid and engine oil can serve very different systems.

The listed grade is ISO 46. This identifies one selection requirement; it does not replace the performance specification or component application. Compare this exact grade, rather than another grade in the same family, with your manual.

Compatibility check

Check the pump, reservoir and equipment manual for fluid requirements, temperature range and compatibility. A similar ISO or SAE number is only one part of the selection.
