Do not assume the marine name means compatibility with every boat engine or modern particulate-filter system. Verify the exact engine-oil standard; marine transmissions and reduction gears require their own lubricant selection.
Soot management
The product information discusses soot control. This matters when comparing diesel-oil performance, but it does not eliminate the need to monitor contamination and follow service requirements.
Corrosion protection
